Support community needs, strengthen your team, and build your brand through volunteer engagement.

Volunteer Fairfax is experienced at crafting strong corporate-nonprofit partnerships that benefit our community.  Through our proprietary program, BusinessLink, we customize service events that are purposeful, engaging, and fun.  Building teams that feel connected, recognized, and supported in today’s workplace often means finding new experiences to engage in together.   Volunteering is a unique way to gather for good and learn more about each other and the community.

Leverage your company’s workforce to do good in the community while also raising your organization’s visibility.  Building strong communities that work for everyone requires support from both individuals and organizations.  Volunteering is not only fulfilling and enjoyable for employees, but it’s also good for business, helping you build goodwill, develop a strong brand, and attract local investment.

Volunteer Fairfax’s BusinessLink team is uniquely qualified to support your employee engagement and community impact goals.  As a Points of Light affiliate, our team specializes in developing customized service projects for partners across the country.  To see some examples of some of our recent BusinessLink work, check out the Impact Reports button at the bottom of this page.  While our team travels the country supporting partners in this work, our primary focus is here in Northern Virginia and the Greater Washington DC metro region where we live, work, and enjoy an extensive network of partners.  Our custom project management ensures a high-impact day of service that meets your employees’ expectations and furthers your community impact.  If you are interested in our BusinessLink program or would like to learn more, you can email us or schedule a consultation using the button at the bottom of this page.

Custom Service Project Management

VF supports customized service projects with one or more in-person opportunities that take place on-site with local nonprofits and agency partners or at an offsite location of your choice. This approach provides you with the following support:

- Targeted project solicitation based on your goals and preferences
- Logistical planning and pre-project site visits
- Supply budget management, supply procurement and distribution
- Access to the Volunteer Fairfax Community Tool Shed, offering approximately $30,000 in tools and non-consumable supplies
- On-site volunteer management and day-of coordination
- Post event employee evaluation and impact reporting

Advanced Referrals

We provide a researched listing of service projects based on your desired goals along with contact names for local nonprofits, government agencies, and/or service providers who can support listed projects. Once the project is chosen and the connection between your team and the nonprofit is made, Volunteer Fairfax steps out and your team will execute the project from there. Advanced Referrals are best for companies that have the bandwidth to plan a volunteer engagement and manage supplies without assistance, but need help in finding the right agency partner.
